After the success of our 1/3rd scale Fournier a couple of people asked if I planned to make a bigger version.  of course I hadn't, but it got me thinking and I went back to my scales spreadsheet and looked at sizes.

I have been taking photos of every stage of the build to give as much help as possible, but here are just a few shots to whet your appetite!

The front may look a bit over engineered, but the double-side construction means that the whole centre of the front of the aircraft can be kept free for the retracted wheel and the cockpit area detail.

We took the model to assemble it at a Club meet...... drew a lot of positive comments

The wing is designed to split into 3 pieces, each 69" and 77" respectively.

The structure is unique; it has a main-spar of laminated ply, 2 x 11/4" phenolic tubes down the length, 6 x aircraft spruce / cyparis spars and a phenolic tube leading edge.

The end result is a very strong yet light wing structure

Because every rib has building tabs attached and the notch together design, it is very easy to quickly build a straight and accurate wing
